The Master of Arts in Professional Behavior Analysis is a hybrid program, as it combines both online coursework with an in-person practicum. Students first complete 24 semester credit hours of coursework from the Florida Tech ABA Online program, then 21 semester credit hours at an approved behavior analysis agency at convenient locations across the United States. There, students apply their coursework knowledge to actual clients under the supervision of an onsite BCBA. Florida Tech approved faculty teach weekly, online face-to-face classes to help students integrate the academic curriculum with their practical experience.
The Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB®) has verified that the Florida Tech BCBA® course sequence meets all instructional requirements for certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®). The second stage integrates coursework with supervised practica and a capstone project completed on-site. The practicum meets the BACB’s supervised experience requirement for BACB certification. Upon graduating, students meet all the requirements to sit for the BCBA examination. The program also meets degree requirements for licensure standards in most states currently licensing professional behavior analysts. The program has been designed to meet the accreditation standards of the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI).
