Patrick O'Leary first worked with autistic children as a speech-language pathologist assistant in public schools in Connecticut. With the help of their supervising BCBA, he learned about applied behavior analysis and radical behaviorism. From that point, he went on to pursue a graduate degree at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT, in special education, with a concentration in applied behavior analysis and autism spectrum disorders. Patrick has been board certified since September of 2013 and has worked in a variety of different settings, including public schools, group homes and private homes, and via telehealth. In his current role, he coordinates training and individual and group supervision of staff and individuals working to obtain board certification in Charlotte, NC. Patrick's professional interests include the ethical application of behavioral services, gerontology, and organizational behavior management. In his free time, he enjoys going to the dog park with his wife and their dog, Capri, traveling to areas in and around North Carolina, and reading Stephen King novels.
