Media Designer & Studio Facilitator

General Description
The Media Designer and Studio Facilitator supports the development of online courses and products used in education, healthcare, and business.  The primary responsibility of this role is to develop and design graphics, audio, and video for eLearning, simulation, slide presentations, and other learning materials across client industries.   This is a full-time, salaried position (40 hours per week), with a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekends. Travel is required when filming on location.
 

Minimum Qualifications 
·    Bachelor’s degree in media design or equivalent
·    1–3 years’ experience designing and developing graphics, audio, video, and slides for eLearning and blended learning experiences 
·    Foundational skills in Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects), DaVinci Resolve, Microsoft PowerPoint, and cloud-based tools (i.e. Google products, Dropbox, etc.)
·    Experience producing video and media content for learning purposes, i.e., educational videos and informative webinars
·    Experience in creating motion graphics and selecting appropriate visuals to accompany video content to create engaging visual experiences
·    Understanding of camera basics, including ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and the use of lenses for compression, focus, and framing
·    Knowledge of lighting techniques, including shaping light with modifiers
·    Experience with green screens
·    Experience in properly exposing, focusing, and framing subjects
·    Strong customer orientation, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
·    Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities as part of instructional design projects
·    Clear, effective, precise written and verbal communication
·    Valid driver’s license
·    Requires travel (75%) for on-site filming studio work in Melbourne, Florida, as well as on-site shoots, such as conferences, including evenings and weekends

Major Duties and Responsibilities
·    Develop and follow a production plan with shot lists, scripts, and storyboards
·    Coordinate with production and office staff to ensure necessary equipment for studio and at-home filming sessions are available
·    Assist clients with using at-home studio kits remotely and in person
·    Complete studio inventory, maintenance checks, and quality audits
·    Facilitate the filming process and ensure that cameras, lights, and audio run smoothly in the studio, on site, and remotely (i.e. in a client’s home)
·    Direct on-screen talent to capture educational content to spec
·    Edit videos in Adobe Premiere and other tools and ensure it meets the project specs and quality standards
·    Participate in the full-production cycle
·    Assist instructional designers in developing creative approaches to the product
·    Assist in developing and implementing technical/interactive elements of learning products using common authoring (e.g., Articulate 360, Elucidat) and LMS fools (e.g., Moodle, Canvas)
·    Design, develop, and edit creative elements in instructional products and marketing (i.e., graphics, videos, animations, audio, user interface, document layout)
·    Revise slides and print materials to improve layout, aesthetics, and clarity
·    Write, edit, clarify, and enhance documentation built for multimedia, design, and development functions
·    Produce and direct major video projects (e.g., course videos, promotional campaigns, web features, etc.) 
·    Facilitate and direct filming sessions virtually and on-location 
·    Operate high-quality cameras to acquire footage
·    Maintain media file management structure
·    Research new digital media opportunities
·    Continuously improving video production methods
·    Assist management in recruiting, supporting, and training multimedia staff members
·    Create and maintain a video style guide to ensure brand strength, consistency, and adherence
·    Audit and/or archive existing video and digital material and/or files
·    Provide feedback to continuously improve multimedia development processes
·    Develop instructional content using common tools (e.g., H5P, Storyline), as required
·    Research and purchase equipment when needed 
·    Maintain equipment in good working order

Physical Demands
Continually required to sit for large periods of time, utilize hand and finger dexterity, speak, and listen.  Occasionally required to stand, walk, balance, bend, stoop, or kneel.  Able to lift up to 75 pounds.
