Alicia M. Alvero, PhD

Dr. Alicia M. Alvero is currently serving as the Associate Provost for Academic and Faculty Affairs. She applies her skills as a training, leadership, and performance management consultant to help strengthen the experiences of faculty, staff, and students within higher education. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Florida International University, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and Applied Behavior Analysis from Western Michigan University. Dr. Alvero was awarded the prestigious Ford Foundation Fellowship while at WMU for her research in behavioral safety. She was a Provost Faculty Fellow, a participant in the CUNY Faculty Leadership Academy, and served as Deputy Chair for the Department of Psychology for five years where she helped streamline workflow to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of processes affecting students, staff and faculty. Dr. Alvero has published across various disciplines, served on several editorial boards, and has been an invited speaker across the country to share her knowledge and experiences.
