Madhura Deshpande, MS, BCBA

Madhura is a behavior analyst with over 15 years of experience in applied behavior analysis. She lives in Sydney, Australia and founded Proactive Behavior Analysts, a small behavior analytical company that specializes in individualized programs for diverse age groups and populations. Madhura has worked with individuals who have been diagnosed with autism, cerebral palsy, Downs syndrome, agenesis of the corpus callosum, chromosomal translocation (12 and 17), and ADHD. Madhura's academic interests are behavior assessments, presentation and reporting of data, research in ABA, and ethics. What she loves most about her work is the opportunity to work in settings that are most relevant and significant to the client - home, school, residential homes, workplace, community settings etc. Her interests and expertise in her own ABA practice include conducting comprehensive skills-based and function-based assessments, programming for functional living skills for individuals aged 1 - 65, and working with individuals in the very settings where intervention is required. She has also been called as an expert witness in guardianship hearings and complex family court proceedings related to abuse and neglect of participants. Her current interest is applying behavioral analytical procedures within hospital settings to assist clients through medical procedures and guide medical professionals in implementing them successfully.
Madhura holds a BCBA credential, a Masters in Science (Applied Behavior Analysis and Autism), and is a Ph.D. student at Endicott College. She also contributes to coursework design and is an associate lecturer for the Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis at Monash University, Australia.
