An expert in coaching and organizational leadership, Dr. Paul (Paulie) Gavoni has worked in education and human services for more than 20 years, supporting the behavioral and performance needs of students, clients and staff. As director of school improvement for Positive Behavior Supports Corporation, Paulie is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst who is passionate about applying organizational behavior management (OBM) strategies within schools and districts. His mission is to establish positive and engaging environments that bring out the best in educators so they can effectively bring out the best in their students.
Beyond his work in education and human services, coach "Paulie Gloves" (as he is known in the MMA world) is also a prolific writer and highly successful professional striking coach in mixed martial arts. As an athletic leader and former golden gloves heavyweight champion of Florida, coach Paulie has successfully applied the science of human behavior to coach multiple fighters to championship titles at varying levels worldwide. With many successful fighters on his résumé, coach Paulie tailors his approach to fit the needs of specific fighters based on a fighter’s behavioral, physiological and psychological characteristics. Coach Paulie is a featured coach in the book Beast: Blood, Struggle, and Dreams at the Heart of Mixed Martial Arts and the featured Bloody Elbow article “Ring to Cage: How Four Former Boxers Help Mold MMA’s Finest."
