Jose Martinez-Diaz


Jose is a past president of the Florida Association of Behavior Analysis and received its Charles H. Cox Award for Outstanding Service and Advancement of Behavior Analysis in Florida in 2005. He was selected as a member of West Virginia University’s Eberly College of Arts & Sciences Distinguished Alumni in 2019.

Tom Freeman

Senior Vice President

In addition to his four decades of work in ABA, Tom has extensive experience in wild-animal behavior research (North Pacific Humpback Whales and Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins) primarily through a decade of work with the University of Hawaii Kewalo Basin Marine Mammal Laboratory. He also worked briefly with wild, ex-captive orangutans at Camp Leakey on the Island of Borneo in Kalimantan Tengah, Indonesia.

Kristin Myers-Kemp

Executive Vice President

Kristin has experience in child welfare, parent training, treatment of problem behavior, and has been a co-instructor for the ABA Online Program at FIT since 2007. Today, Kristin is most passionate about curriculum design and training students in the science of behavior analysis.

Alicia Norris

VP, Business Operations

Alicia plans to pursue a Ph.D. in Strategic Planning and Financial Management. Alicia is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in Business Administration. Outside of ABA Technologies, Alicia enjoys being with her family and two boys. She also loves being outdoors, traveling, and riding horses in the discipline of dressage.

Darnell Lattal

Acting CEO

Darnell is on the board of directors for the Cambridge Center for Behavioral Studies and Women@theFrontier; and board of advisors for the College of Arts & Sciences, University of Alabama. She was awarded the OBM Network’s Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019, WVU’s College of Arts & Sciences Outstanding Graduate Award in 2012 and is listed in the Marquis Who’s Who in America, among other recognitions. She has spent a lifetime on issues of coercion and its fallout across educational, health, mental health, workplace, and political/cultural settings.

Aaron Bevacqua

Curriculum & Instructional Support Specialist

Aaron’s research areas include assessing treatments for escape-maintained problem behavior, as well as the effects of a response-card system in the general-education setting. In his current role with ABA Technologies, Inc., he works as a curriculum and instruction specialist designing and delivering online instruction to students seeking certification in behavior analysis.

Abby Greif

Curriculum Development Specialist

Abby is now pursuing her passion for disseminating the science of behavior analysis through online education and training, and eventually hopes to reach broader audiences and communities by demonstrating the effectiveness of behavioral science with other non-behavior analytic disciplines, particularly in the areas of sustainability and sport performance.

Adam Hockman

Learning Architect

Adam is actively engaged in applying behavior analytic instructional design and precision measurement to the advancement of health professional education and clinical interventions. He consults with professionals to introduce and integrate Precision Teaching into their clinical practice, including speech-language pathology and medicine.

Allison King

Professional Development Manager

Allison’s passion involves getting creative with the science of behavior: connecting its concepts to other (sometimes seemingly unrelated) ideas, applying it to new areas, and using that very science to improve how we teach it and share its innovations with the world.

April Rowland

Co-Instructor Manager

April primarily works on applying the principles of applied behavior analysis to the development of instructional and training materials. She has been involved in research projects on assessing feedback preferences of employees, examining the effects of rules on the efficacy of reinforcer magnitude, and teaching creativity using fluency-based instruction.

Ashley Johnson

Curriculum Process Associate

Ashley Johnson earned her B.A. in English from the University of Florida in 2007. She previously worked in film production and human resources in entertainment and technology companies in Orlando and Los Angeles. She is part of the curriculum team and is interested in the international dissemination of ABA and projects that work toward that goal.

Carlos A. Zuluaga

Lead Instructional Manager

Carlos is currently working on a conceptual paper on the different effects of consequences and antecedents on behavior and is developing an Excel version of the Standard Celeration Chart.  Additionally, Carlos helped translate sections of the VB-MAPP into Spanish and has developed Spanish presentations on verbal behavior.

Christi Reed

Curriculum & Instructional Support Specialist

Christi has an extensive background in implementing ABA methods in a variety of venues such as homes, schools, companies, as well as in the courtroom as an expert witness in the field of ABA. Christi was the clinical director of an ABA clinic in Hawaii for four years and consulted for a number of years.

Christina Bertmeyer

Inbound Marketing Specialist

Christina is skilled at conducting market research and coordinating trade shows and events that promote ABA Tech’s products and services.

Corey Robertson

Senior Lead Instructional Manager

Since 2007, Corey has been dedicated to developing competent behavior analysts through his work as lead co-instructor for Florida Tech’s online course sequence in ABA, and through direct and distance supervision of certificate-seekers. Corey has served as a member-at-large and as president for the Florida Association of Behavior Analysis and maintains the “behaviorguy” Facebook page and website.

Emily Meyer

Curriculum and Instruction Manager

Emily served children with disabilities in kindergarten through third grade by co-teaching in inclusive classrooms. This environment gave Emily the opportunity to collaborate with professionals in various disciplines including administrators, psychologists, behavior analysts, general and special educators, as well as the parents of the children she taught.

Emily Strockbine

Executive Administrative Coordinator

Emily is a graduate of Florida Institute of Technology where she studied applied behavior analysis. There, Emily took interest in the application of instructional design and OBM to issues facing education and public schools. She completed an internship with Andrew Houvouras and Brevard Public Schools where she focused on bringing classroom teachers technological tools to improve their practice. Energized by her experience at FIT, Emily went on to enroll in the hybrid master’s program in ABA.

Evette Berardi-Cox

Curriculum Development Specialist

She currently resides in Florida and is employed by ABA Technologies, Inc., as a curriculum development specialist where she aids in the development and maintenance of course materials and is also an online co-instructor.

Gloria Narvaez

Office Manager

Gloria created the company’s travel forms; expense reports, reimbursement, travel approval, and credit card rules and agreements. She is also responsible for verifying and approving these and ensuring proper documentation.

Jamie Duncan-Chapman

Curriculum Development Specialist and Lead Instructional Course Manager

Jamie was a content developer for Trumpet Behavioral Health which gave her experience designing and developing online courses for various audiences. She has been a co-instructor at the FIT since 2012 and a senior lead instructional manager since 2015.

Jan Montgomery

Senior Lead Instructional Manager

Jan served on the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis (FABA) executive board from 2003-2006 and from 2009-2011. She was elected and served as president of FABA from 2009 to 2010, and her presidential speech highlighted the ongoing need for behavior analysts to work with individuals with mental health diagnoses.

Kelly Therrien

Professional Development Product Manager

Currently, Kelly is the product manager for professional development with ABA Technologies, Inc. In this role, Kelly oversees various professional development products aimed at dissemination of the science of human behavior. Kelly is also active in the local Brevard Community, serving as treasurer of the Brevard Chapter for the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis and volunteering as a mentor with WeVenture’s Ignite 360 Program.

Lisa Smith

Creative Director of Marketing

Lisa works with the creative team to attract site traffic to the ABA Tech webpage, converting that traffic into new leads, and nurturing those leads into customers. She designs lead generation programs and processes for ABA Tech and reviews data and analytics to measure performance and results.

Shauna Costello

Professional Development Specialist

Shauna has a background in college teaching at Oakland University in Rochester Hills, MI, in its BCaBA course sequence. She now works full-time for ABA Technologies, Inc., as the professional development specialist creating online continuing education courses to disseminate the science and technology of behavior analysis.
