Beyond Supervision: Mentorship and Leadership in Behavior Analysis
Abstract
We’re all on a journey. We may be at different points in that journey, but we’re constantly learning from the people around us. In this Continuing Education offering, Corey Robertson gives personal examples of what supervision, mentorship, and leadership mean. Just beyond good supervision, there’s mentorship. Mentorship shapes the behaviors of the mentor and the mentee and benefits both parties. In fact, you may already be a mentor and not even know it. Corey describes why it’s important for you to strive toward leadership. To truly disseminate the passion, knowledge, and commitment to excellence in a broad sense, we must become leaders. Leaders impart the vision; they show us the way and they inspire us to fulfill the mission. We need to become those leaders in our profession. This course will not only help you navigate your role on your journey, but it will also give you tools such as an in-depth look at behavioral- skills training to help you along the way. If you pay close enough attention, this course may even make you a better leader.
